The Gauntlet Spiritual Disciplines | Granbury

The Gauntlet is a leadership development path for men at StoneWater. You’ll study the Bible, gain practical tools for daily living, engage in daily accountability, and meet other men committed to growing in spiritual maturity. Each stage is designed to confront the sin patterns we all face, call you into God’s design for manhood, and challenge you to put what you learn into practice.

Stage: Spiritual Disciplines

Spiritual Disciplines is a 5-week stage (1.5 hours each week) where we confront the sin of worry and learn to walk in the peace that comes from daily communion with God. Growth doesn’t happen by accident—it happens through consistent rhythms that align our hearts with His.

Over five weeks, we’ll learn how to build habits that form godly character and deepen our relationship with Jesus.

Together we’ll cover:

·How God grows us through His Word, His Spirit, and His people
·Prayer, fasting, and surrender as marks of spiritual maturity
·How to read and apply the Bible effectively
·Living a life of evangelism and Scripture memorization
·Solitude, confession, and worship beyond Sunday
·The power of biblical community

This stage isn’t about checking spiritual boxes—it’s about creating space for transformation. You’ll discover that spiritual discipline is not about striving harder but surrendering deeper, so that peace replaces worry and your faith becomes both steadfast and fruitful.

What to Expect:

Come as you are — it’s casual. Bring food if you’d like.

No materials needed; just bring yourself.

Stage Expectations:

• Commitment & Accountability – Show up, participate, and complete assignments.
• Attendance – You must attend EVERY session of the stage to receive credit for completion.
• In order to get the most out of each stage, men should only participate in one stage of the Gauntlet at a time.
• Age Requirement – Participants must be 16+.
• Discussion Guidelines – During table talk, remember the ABCs (About yourself, Brief, Clean) and GAG (Guard Against Gossip).
